Race Day Information:
Race Packets:
Packets will be available for pick up from 8:00-9:00 a.m. the day of the race. Packets will include race numbers, safety pins, t-shirts (if registered during early registration), color packet, and sponsor information. The run will begin at 9:00 am. There will be refreshments for sale, a step and repeat for before/after photographs, and a silent auction!
*This event will not be timed.
Clothing/Stains:
Please be aware that the color we use is cornstarch based and non-toxic. The color does mostly wash out after the event. As with anything dirty, the sooner you wash it the better. We suggest wearing items that you wouldn’t mind getting colorful. If you would like to preserve the color in your running shirt, spray it with vinegar and iron it. If you wash your shirt….the color will eventually come out. There is, however, a chance that the color could stain your clothing, shoes, etc. We will have air blown color cleaning at the finish line. With a good dusting off, you aren’t 100% clean, but most of the loose powder will be gone. We recommend a change of clothes for the ride home and towels to cover your vehicle seats as a precaution.
Color Powder/Eyes:
The color powder used at the event is food grade cornstarch and is 100% natural. As with any substance, you want to keep it out of your eyes. Our color throwers make sure to aim low as you pass by. Some people opt to wear glasses or goggles for their eyes and use a bandana or dust mask for their mouths.
Cameras/Phones:
If you want to get shots right in the midst of the color we recommend covering cameras/phones with plastic wrap. Ziplock style bags also work well.
Course Description: The course will be marked but may cover some rough terrain, including but not limited to rough cut field grass, small hills, and rough dirt.
Questions: For more information, please contact a MoBerry Scholarship committee member: Maria Wicks or Jessica Cox at (478) 862-4855.
